She has been a part of the British royal family for little more than a month, but the Duchess of Sussex is proving to be every inch the royal princess as she attended her second official engagement with the Queen in as many weeks.
Prince Harry’s new wife, 36, made her solo debut with Her Majesty the Queen less than two weeks ago, when the pair enjoyed their first day out together whilst opening the Mersey Gateway bridge in Chester, UK, on June 14.
The former Suits actress seems to have adjusted perfectly to her new role as a member of the royal family, as she showed up for her second official event alongside Queen Elizabeth II in a fortnight.
However, this time, the Duchess of Sussex had her new husband by her side on Tuesday as the newlyweds attended a ceremony to honour the winners of the Queen’s Young Leaders for 2018 at Buckingham Palace.
The new Duchess looked stunning in a pale pink Prada frock, which featured a thin belt around the waist and an asymmetrical hemline. She completed the classy look with a pair of black court shoes and wore her raven locks in curls, reminiscent of the Duchess of Cambridge’s go-to style.
The couple mingled with celebrities, including soccer star David Beckham and Sir Lenny Henry, at the star-studded annual event which was held in the palace’s ballroom.
Harry, the Duke of Sussex, also delivered an inspiring speech at the reception, in celebration of the achievements of young change-makers from across the Commonwealth.
He said: “In this rapidly changing world, it is heartening to meet so many inspiring young people gathered here today, who have already stepped up as leaders and improved the lives of so many people across the Commonwealth.
“You are the hope and optimism the world needs and we will all do everything that we can to support you in it.”
The event was Harry and Meghan’s third official appearance together since they tied the knot at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor, on May 18, having appeared side-by-side at Prince Charles’ 70th birthday celebrations, and last week at Royal Ascot.
Meghan opted for a chic shirt-dress, designed by her wedding dress fashion house Givenchy, and a sophisticated monochrome hat for her debut appearance at the prestigious race event.
One member of the royal family missing from recent appearances is Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, who is still on maternity leave following the birth of her third child, Prince Louis, on April 23.
