Roger the kangaroo was undoubtedly one of the most loved animals in the county due to his incredible strength and muscly appearance.
But it seems his son could take over his title as biggest kangaroo on the block with recent footage showing the eight month old is already taking after his father.
While the country is still mourning the loss of Roger, who sadly passed away last year, not so little Brandon is already capturing the hearts of those right around the world.
A video published on Facebook by The Kangaroo Sanctuary Alice Springs, where the young kangaroo lives, has shown Brandon’s already massive size.
In the footage, the joey’s mother can be seen laying on the ground in the hot summer weather with Brandon squeezing into her pouch with his feet and tail poking out.
“Hi Indie,” sanctuary manager Chris ‘Brolga’ Barnes can be heard saying as he approaches the resting mother.
“With her very big pouch extended carrying her big baby Brandon. You can see the big pouch with Brandon’s leg and tail and ear sticking out of mum’s pouch. Indie’s such a great mum.”
Brandon then pops out to say hello, his big head reaching up outside the pouch to see what’s going on.
According to fellow sanctuary owner Tahnee Passmore-Barns, they are sure the joey will turn out to be quite a big kangaroo, just like his father.
“It’s not unusual for mothers to let joeys of that age in their pouch, but Brandon is already very solid,” Yahoo 7 reports she said.
“Indi’s a very good mum and she loves Brandon a lot, but it’s safe to say he’s going to be a big boy soon.”

The 12-year-old roo, often referred to as the Arnold Schwarzenegger of the animal world, died from old age after living a long and fruitful life at The Kangaroo Sanctuary in Alice Springs.
Roger was farewelled by his loving owners in a touching post shared on Facebook detailing the roo’s impact on not only Australians but those around the world.
The incredibly built roo shot to fame in 2015, after a photo of him crushing a metal bucket with his bare paws went viral. This was followed by a series of impressive kickboxing videos that left Aussies and foreigners alike gobsmacked.
“It’s a very sad day here today, for we have lost our beautiful boy Roger,” Brolga says as he sits on the red dirt with a few of his other kangaroos. “Roger passed away, he was 12 years old. 10 years ago I built this sanctuary to house Roger and a couple of his wives, Ella and Abigail. I built it so they would have a place to live.
“We want to reflect on his life and many years to come. He’ll always be here. We’ve laid him to rest out here so he can be with his family.”
