Queen Elizabeth puts on a stunning display in royal blue

Her Majesty stepped out for a morning greeting.

Queen Elizabeth has greeted guests in Buckingham Palace for a special event celebrating women within the civil service.

Looking resplendent in a blue and white lace dress, she appeared to be in high spirits as she joked and laughed with the crowd throughout the morning.

She matched her gorgeous dress with her favourite patent leather shoes and bag and pinned a classic vintage-style broach under her left shoulder.

The gathering was held in the Queen’s Gallery, with it’s famous bright red walls and art on display for all to see.

It’s been a busy week for Her Majesty, who yesterday awarded the Queen’s Gold Medal for Poetry to Gillian Allnutt.

Sporting something more casual for the occasion, Her Royal Highness was pictured beaming as she handed over the delicate medal.

It appears she has well and truly recovered from the cold that kept her away from a number of royal engagements over the Christmas period.

Both she and Prince Philip where forced to skip the beginning of their annual trip to Sandringham, the royal residence in Norfolk, but later flew out by helicopter to join the rest of the family.

Are you a fan of the Queen’s style? Are you happy to see her still out and about these days?
