Princess Catherine has truly demonstrated why she is so beloved by the public. Despite navigating her own challenging cancer battle, she recently took the time to meet with others facing the same difficult journey.

Having only recently announced the end of her chemotherapy treatment, Catherine met with 16-year-old Liz Hatton, who is battling an aggressive form of cancer. Catherine invited Liz to Windsor Castle to photograph an investiture ceremony hosted by Prince William.

Following their meeting, Catherine and William took to Instagram to share photos from the day, expressing what a pleasure it was to meet Liz and praising her talent for photography.

“A pleasure to meet with Liz at Windsor today. A talented young photographer whose creativity and strength has inspired us both,” the couple wrote.

“Thank you for sharing your photos and story with us. ❤️ W&C.”

Royal fans were thrilled by Catherine’s return to public duties, with many praising her for the heartwarming meeting.

“It’s lovely to see the genuine Princess Kate. Sending lots of hugs her way from me!” one wrote.

“So wonderful to see the Princess of Wales along with the Prince of Wales, on an official engagement and looking so well!”

“Fantastic!! Welcome back xxx,” commented another.

“The first picture has my heart ❤️‍🩹 It’s so great to see the Princess of Wales back!”

Liz was equally excited about the event, after meeting with Catherine and William in private, she took to social media to share that she was “over the moon” following the experience.

“Such a lovely, genuine and kind people,” she wrote.

“I’m over the moon that my family and I had this experience.”

Catherine shared the uplifting news of her health journey through a heartfelt message on social media, accompanied by a touching video of her with her husband and their three children: Prince George, Prince Louis, and Princess Charlotte.

She was joined by her household team and staff from the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, an organisation she established to promote the importance of early years development and conduct research.

The Court Circular recorded the meeting, stating: “The Princess of Wales, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, this afternoon held an Early Years Meeting at Windsor Castle.”
