‘I’m so damn excited’: Grant Denyer’s new television gig revealed

Beloved Australian TV personality Grant Denyer is set to make a return to the small screen with a new and exciting project that promises to captivate audiences across the nation.

Rumours have been swirling recently about Denyer’s mysterious project, but the veil of secrecy was finally lifted when the star took to social media to share the big news that he will be helming the revamped version of Deal Or No Deal.

“We back baby! Incredibly excited to be bringing the global mega-format ‘Deal or No Deal’ back to Aussie screens in 2024,” he wrote in a post to Instagram.

“It’s an absolute gem of a show and one of TV’s most successful formats ever, adored in 325 countries. For good reason too. It’s dripping in suspense, loaded with risk at every turn but offers massive riches for those who can hold their nerve. Suspense, risk and big money – the golden ingredients to keep everyone on the edge of their couch every night.

“In this time of high cost of living, I can’t wait to be a hyperactive ‘human ATM’ handing out big cash and sending Australian’s off into the sunset with their pockets bulging and their lives changed. It’s a magical feeling and a real privilege. I’m so damn excited.”

As news of Denyer’s new hosting gig broke, an outpouring of congratulatory messages from fans quickly flooded in.

“The best is backkkkkk. The original game show host king!!!” one fan wrote.

“So may ‘yays’ !!!! Congratulations. Can’t wait to see you back in game show mode.”

“Oh great news, you with add humour to this show I know ! Hopefully Family fued again one day,” another commented.

“Great choice for hosting, Grant is very funny and entertaining.”

Deal or No Deal puts contestants in the hot seat for a life-altering game of chance.

With a number of sealed briefcases filled with varying amounts of cash, contestants must decide whether or not to accept an offer from the mysterious Banker in exchange for what might be contained in their chosen briefcase.

The popular game show is set to return to screens in 2024 on 10 and 10 Play.
