Sir Rod Stewart shone brightly during a lively show in Toronto, Canada, as he rocked and rolled his way across the stage.

The 77-year-old was sparkling from head to toe, wearing a metallic silver suit, with a white undershirt embellished with flames.

Stewart’s electric look was completed with sparkling shoes covered in glitter, wearing his hair in his signature spiked style.

The rock star took to Instagram to show off his band ensemble, featuring leggy bombshells in black suits and men in pink suits, the crew sang “we are a happy band” with Stewart centered in the video.

Fans thanked the animated singer for his dazzling performance on social media.

“Such an amazing show last night! Thank you Sir Rod and all of your awesome musicians. Such wonderful energy!! Quality production and musicianship! Loved every minute of the show and well worth the wait,” one person wrote.

“Thank you sir Rod, that was truly a fantastic concert last night in Toronto. It was an honour seeing you again. At 77 you look fabulous and you still know how to entertain the crowd with your beautiful voice and songs. I look forward to seeing you again. Stay healthy and safe,” wrote another.

“Such a fabulous show! Thank you sexy Rod! My mother loved your Toronto concert and loves you too,” someone said.

Stewart’s recent performance for the Queen during her Platinum Jubilee celebrations faced criticism from fans and fellow singer Elvis Costello, who said Stewart made a poor song choice.

According to the Daily Mail, Costello reportedly told the audience, “I mean, I know you all love him and he’s one of yours and everything, but Rod. What the fuck?”

“I must say, listen we all have bad nights vocally, but for fuck’s sake, Sweet fucking Caroline? Are you fucking kidding me?” Costello reportedly said.

Costello is alleged to have continued with his rant, asking the crowd, “How is it that nobody suggested Rod sing You Wear It Well?”.

Stewart, who was recovering from Covid, took to Twitter to slam Costello for his remarks.

Costello extinguished the fire he’d started by choosing to respond with his own failings.

Stewart is continuing to wow fans on his current tour through North America.
