Rita Wilson is no stranger to a microphone, but this week she wowed fans with a performance of a different kind.

The actress admitted she’s going a little “stir crazy” while in quarantine after testing positive to coronavirus alongside husband Tom Hanks, and her latest post on social media can attest to that. Wilson shared a video of her performing an impromptu rap with her 963K Instagram followers.

The Hollywood couple were diagnosed with coronavirus earlier this month while in Australia and have since been forced to self-isolate. But it seems they are feeling much better, albeit a bit bored.

“Quarantine stir crazy,” she wrote on the post. “See it to believe it.”

In the video, the 63-year-old can be seen sitting on the couch reading a book, before suddenly bursting out in a rap. And she doesn’t miss a beat either — rapping for a full four-minutes.

Her talent hasn’t gone unnoticed, with fans, musicians, fellow actors and even a former US president applauding Rita on her performance.

“Drop the mic, Rita!” Barack Obama commented on the post. “OMG! Are you for real? That didn’t make my day, it made my month!” @mazjobrani said. While Julia Roberts added: “You are awesome.”

Meanwhile, Tom provided an update on how the couple are going, taking to social media on Monday to share a quick message with fans.

“Hey folks,” he began. “Two weeks after our first symptoms and we feel better. Sheltering in place works like this” You don’t give it to anyone – you don’t get it from anyone. Common sense, no?

“Going to take a while, but if we take care of each other, help where we can and give up some comforts … this too shall pass. We can figure this out. Hanx.”
