Nicole Kidman has changed her hair many time over the years from her gorgeous red locks in Moulin Rouge to the blonde, sleek and straight look, but it’s her natural curls that fans seem to love the most — and she’s brought them back in a stunning magazine photo shoot with Marie Claire.
The 53-year-old has wowed fans, with some even claiming they thought she was sharing throwback photos to her Instagram page as they reminisced on the years past. But, alas the snaps were taken recently as part of an interview with the publication about her doting husband Keith Urban, the beautiful children they share, the impact of Covid-19 and her latest thriller The Undoing.
In the gorgeous photos shared to Nicole’s Instagram page, the actress looked simply stunning, sporting a range of different outfits from a flowing black dress, to a smart white pantsuit and a sheer black and gold frock. Looking every bit the model, she posed elegantly in front of the camera, showing off her true beauty and features in absolute confidence.

In the cover shot, she looked side on to the camera, with her beautiful blonde curls flowing behind her, while in another she wore a blue, long-sleeve frock and crouched down on the ground like she was ready to jump up and run. But what had people really talking was her incredible hair — which she hasn’t shown off for some time now, instead choosing to opt for a more sleek look.
“I do love your hair curly,” @kelkelhensley wrote on the post. “When I was young it was actually you who helped me accept my curly hair. You made curly hair beautiful.”
“Wow! Looking as beautiful as ever,” fellow Aussie actress Teresa Palmer said. While @ourfamilywanderings wrote: “I totally thought you were sharing throwback photos! Your hair is amazing!”
And @laurengentzler added: “I love seeing women my age being totally hot. This generation has changed the way we are supposed to look in our 50s (gone are the poly pants days). I work out daily and wear bikinis… it’s awesome and people like you, who are trend setters, have helped. I miss your wild curls and love them back in the day… so happy to see them again. You look amazing!”
Meanwhile, during the chat with Marie Claire Nicole opened up about the difficulty of distance in a relationship. Her hubby Keith Urban has been back over in Nashville for the Country Music Awards, while the actress is in her home country of Australia filming her latest project.
Nicole said it’s been hard not being together, but they’re constantly on FaceTime together. “That’s our world now – and thank god for it. What would we have done without it?” she told the publication.
The Eyes Wide Shut star added: “My sister’s staying over and my mum’s helping; I don’t have that help in Nashville so that’s been incredible. We never leave the kids, one of us is always there. When Keith went to Nashville and I had to work late nights, I rang Ant and asked her to move in with the girls and she did, and bought along her kids.
“That’s special. It’s the nature of what we’re all having to do now – you get to be commune-like; this extended family where you’re all raising each other’s kids together. We’ve all had to go back to basics, and this year has required it because people are pleading for help.”
