Meat Loaf’s daughters share touching tribute to late father

The daughters of late musician Meat Loaf have both paid touching tributes to their late father on social media, vowing to love him “always”.

Pearl Aday, and Amanda Aday took to Instagram to share touching tributes to their Grammy award-winning father who passed away suddenly at the age of 74, on January 20.

Pearl, 47, shared a photo of herself on stage alongside her father.

“I love you always, no matter what. I love you with my whole heart. We got you. Forever,” she wrote.

Amanda, Pearl’s younger sister, also took to Instagram to share a photo of her with her iconic father alongside the caption, “I love you daddy always and forever”.

Amanda, 41, also told People magazine her father was a “complex man with a lot of passion, who wore his heart on his sleeve” throughout his life”.

She also explained that although he was a music superstar, he was just a normal dad when he was at home.

“It was home and he was just dad,” she said.

“He wasn’t Meat Loaf anymore.”

The internationally acclaimed, Grammy award-winning singer and actor died on Thursday, January 20. His agent, Michael Greene confirmed the news in a post to Facebook.

“Our hearts are broken to announce that the incomparable Meat Loaf passed away tonight surrounded by his wife Deborah, daughters Pearl and Amanda and close friends. His amazing career spanned 6 decades that saw him sell over 100 Million albums worldwide and star in over 65 movies, including “Fight Club”, “Focus”, “Rocky Horror Picture Show” and “Wayne’s World,” he wrote.

“Bat Out of Hell” remains one of the top 10 selling albums of all time.

“We know how much he meant to so many of you and we truly appreciate all of the love and support as we move through this time of grief in losing such an inspiring artist and beautiful man.

We thank you for your understanding of our need for privacy at this time. From his heart to your souls…don’t ever stop rocking!”

Meat Loaf passed away surrounded by his wife Deborah, his daughters Pearl and Amanda, and close friends. A cause of death has not been released, however, there is speculation this his death was Covid-19 related.
