Jane Fonda has turned on the glitz and glamour in a stunning magazine cover shoot. The 83-year-old has graced the cover of Harper Bazaar’s April issue and it’s fair to say she looks nothing short of incredible.

The fashion magazine shared a sneak peak of the stunning photoshoot on its Instagram account on Thursday. The cover image shows Jane striking a power pose in a skin-tight sequinned black dress by Ralph Lauren, which features long sleeves and padded shoulders.

However, it’s the actress’ quirky new hair-do that’s really stolen the show. Jane has made the transition from blonde to ashy grey over the last few months, but she’s sporting an entirely new hairstyle in the photoshoot. Not only is her hair a lot sleeker and shorter, but she’s also rocking a fringe.

Keeping in with the same theme, the second photo shows the Grace and Frankie star posing up storm in another glamorous dress, this time with tasseled sleeves. This dress is designed by Valentino.

Harper Bazaar shared another two images from the shoot, a close up image of the actress, and another showing Jane posing in a low-cut statement blazer-style top by French fashion house Mugler and matching black pants from Spanish designer Paco Rabanne.

In the accompanying interview, the 9 to 5 actress opened up about motherhood and raising her children, revealing she was too wrapped up in herself when they were younger.

“I think about it every day,” Jane said. “It’s the one main thing about my past that I think about almost every day. And I’ll tell you one of the things that’s keying it off is watching my son [Troy Garity], who is 47. They just had their first child, and he is about a year-and-a-half. And when I watch my son and his wife, Simone, parent, I’m awestruck.

“It puts into such stark relief for me, what I didn’t do. I don’t think I’ve said this to him, so I feel a little weird, but anyway that’s the reality. Watching my son be a parent, I think, ‘God, I just wish I had done that.’ And then I realise, if I had done that I would not have become who I became. There has to be an in-between way, but I’ve never been an in-between kind of person. I was too wrapped up in me.”

Fonda has three children: Vanessa Vadim from her first marriage to Roger Vadim, Troy Garity with her second husband Tom Hayden and Mary Luana Williams who was unofficially adopted by the actress and Tom.

The actress, who has been married and divorced three times, also opened up on her sex life, telling the publication that she has no plans on getting hot and heavy with anyone anytime soon, but if she did, it would be with a younger man.

“I don’t want to be in a relationship, a sexual relationship, again,” she revealed.

“I don’t have that desire. Do I fantasise? Yes … That I meet a professor or a researcher, somebody in that line who is really capable of loving, of cherishing a woman, so that I could test myself and see if I could show up.

“I think maybe now I could, but the problem is that, like a man, I would want a younger man. Isn’t that awful? It’s a thing about skin. I would want a younger man, and I’m too vain.”
