He’s been forced to return to hospital after suffering serious pain following a nasty back injury and now Grant Denyer’s wife has shared a new update on the star’s condition.

Chezzi Denyer visited the Dancing With The Stars host along with their two daughters Sailor and Scout as he continued his long recovery, before sharing a photo of them together as they enjoyed a cuddle on his bed.

“Hardest part of taking the girls to visit Daddy, is when it’s time to leave and they don’t want to let go… she wrote. “Makes me cry every time….”

However, she went on to give an update on his condition and insisted he’s making a slow recovery, adding: “But on a positive note, he’s got colour back in his face and he’s able to stand up straighter and move a bit freer!”

The TV host, 41, was admitted to hospital in March after a backyard accident left him with a painful bulging disc in his back.

Denyer had been using a sledgehammer to knock a star picket into the ground in his paddock when the accident occurred, leaving the star in immense pain and struggling to walk or even stand.

After being bedridden for days, the presenter was eager to get back to his hosting duties and, after getting local anaesthetic and an epidural, he was finally allowed to leave hospital. However, things took a turn for the worse when the incredible pain returned and Grant was rushed back to hospital.

Chezzi shared an emotional update at the time, where she revealed Grant was “left in significant amount of pain after hosting Dancing With The Stars grand finale show [Monday] night”.

“A little over 4 weeks ago, Grant injured his back while doing some routine work on our farm. He was diagnosed with an Annular Fissure, or ‘Disc Tear’ in his L5-S1 Disc with a disc bulge,” she wrote in the post’s lengthy caption.

Chezzi went on to explain Grant had undergone two epidural procedures using cortisone to try and reduce his pain, however they had only offered limited relief.

“Grant attempted to return to work as he loves his job on both Channel Ten, and 2Day FM Breakfast, however after being left in significant amount of pain after hosting Dancing With The Stars grand finale show last night, he has decided to take a further two weeks off all work to be admitted to a Sports Physiotherapy Recovery Hospital to attempt to recover from his injury,” she continued.
