She is known for wowing fans with rare red carpet appearances every few months amid her worldwide success on The Chase, and now Anne ‘The Governess’ Hegerty has upped the style stakes once again in a very dazzling outfit.

Dressed to the nines, the 61-year-old TV star looked incredible in a blush-coloured gown as she joined famous faces at the TV Choice Awards in London on Monday night. Dropping her usually stern on-screen persona, Anne wowed crowds in the floor-length gown which featured beautiful sequin detailing while she paired the ensemble with nude flats, a small rose-gold mirrored clutch bag and some statement earrings.

Meanwhile, the TV star chose a red lip to add a pop of colour, a touch of blush and a swipe of bronze eyeshadow to highlight her eyes – a far cry from her smart grey suits and bare-faced appearances on the popular TV show.

While she began her success on the UK version of the show, she has since moved over to also star on the Aussie version alongside colleague Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett. She recently starred on I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here! in the UK and has been open about her weight loss on the show — having been restricted to a diet largely based around rice and beans.

“The trouble is really that there’s no salt,” she said on UK morning show This Morning earlier this year. “About a week ago my digestive system just said, ‘I’m sorry I’m not having anymore rice without beans’ because it was going straight through!”

Meanwhile, Anne proved she is every bit the fashionista as she showed off yet another stylish outfit for an event in London earlier this year. Attending The National Film Awards, Anne stepped out in a floor-length silver chiffon gown with beaded detailing and complete with sheer sleeves, ensuring she kept all eyes on her as she posed for photos outside.

She complimented the beautiful look with silver pointed heels, a small clutch bag and some statement silver earrings, while she chose a subtle eyeshadow and red lipstick to complete her amazing transformation.

Meanwhile, it comes after the TV star opened up to Starts at 60 on her struggle to finally embrace her now well-known confidence, after constantly being told by people throughout her life that she wasn’t good enough for her “wonderful and fabulous” mother.

Asked how The Chase has changed her life, Anne said: “Totally, completely, 100 per cent. Nothing is the same. It’s amazing that I’ve got enough money that I need, that I’ve got a job. I feel so much more confident. I’ve spent most of my life thinking I’m the family loser. Now suddenly I’m not!”

And asked why she felt like the family loser, Anne explained: “Honestly you have no idea, until this came along … Compared to everyone except my dad, I did, he was seen as the uber loser. I spent most of my life being compared to my mum with everyone saying, ‘You mum is so wonderful and fabulous and amazing and stupendous and you’re not good enough for her’.

“Everybody loved her, loathed my dad, and would say, ‘That girl is so much like her dad. She’s not good enough for the mother’. My mother was just this saint, people acted like she was famous because she was so stupendous.”
