They’re both known for their incredible style and individual wardrobes, but Meghan and Catherine proved they’re perfectly in sync as they co-ordinated in stylish burgundy outfits at two separate events on Wednesday.
The Duchess of Sussex, 37, isn’t letting her pregnancy slow her down and she showed off her growing baby bump in a glamorous short dress and black tights as she returned to Hubb Kitchen in London – where she has been working for more than a year – to visit the Grenfell Tower survivors she got to know so well during her time there.
Wearing heeled black boot-style shoes and a matching burgundy coat over her shorter shirt-style dress, she looked elegant and stylish as she flashed smiles to fans before greeting survivors inside.
Once there, she introduced her friend and Michelin Starred Chef Clare Smyth to the women before discussing how proceeds of a cookbook she helped to create, Together: Our Community Cookbook, are helping the people in the community.
The Kensington Palace official Instagram page confirmed the funds had already been put to good use.
“The kitchen has been renovated with the women’s input, to capture the joyful spirit of the Hubb Community Kitchen and provide a safe and professional space to bring the community together over food,” a caption on the social media page read.
Meghan couldn’t wait to get involved in the cooking again and donned a black apron round her waist as she held a protective hand over her growing baby bump while chatting to the women. She later lended a hand as they ambitiously cooked up 300 meals for people in the community.

Kensington Palace explained: “The women also talked to The Duchess and @chefclaresmyth about their long-term vision for the Kitchen, and how they hope to use further proceeds from Together to reach even more people in their community.”
Meanwhile, in an apparently incredible coincidence, the Duchess of Cambridge also flew solo on her own royal engagement and chose a strikingly similar outfit to her sister-in-law.
Catherine, 36, was visiting the Psychology & Language Sciences Division at University College London and showed off her figure in a short Paule Ka burgundy pleated skirt and matching blazer. She’s had the skirt for around six years and worn it twice before – once again proving a thrifty royal as she recycles some of her favourite looks.
Unlike Meghan, she changed the look up very slightly with a black polo neck underneath but also opted for black tights on the outing. Prince William’s wife towered in black court heels as she waved and smiled to fans outside, and just like Meghan, she wore her hair tied up in a loose ponytail.
Catherine was visiting the university’s Developmental Risk and Resilience Unit to see their work into “how environment and biology interact to shape the way in which children develop both socially and emotionally”.
In a completely different exercise to Meghan, the duchess was shown an MRI Scanning Facility and also learned about research on how early experience shapes brain function.

Kensington Palace explained on Instagram: “At @UCL The Duchess of Cambridge heard from @UCLPALS’s Professor Eamon McCrory and from members of his neuroscience research team about how they work closely with children and families to shed new light on resilience following early adversity.
“Earlier this year, The Duchess set up a steering group made up of practitioners and academics from a range of disciplines, including neuroscience, mental health, nursing, perinatal care and education.”

Meghan and Catherine have been pictured out together on royal engagements more than usual recently, as they joined the whole royal family to mark Remembrance Sunday with a series of ceremonies and services.
