Julie Bishop may have stepped away from politics but she certainly hasn’t disappeared from the public eye as she made a stunning appearance at a fundraising luncheon this week, donning a gorgeous fitted dress for the occasion.

The former minister for foreign affairs struck a pose in the stunning navy blue number which hung just below her knees, revealing her toned legs and a pair of classy black stiletto heels.

Looking as stylish as ever, Julie smiled broadly for the cameras at the Marie Claire and InStyle luncheon in Sydney on Thursday which was held in honour of the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation.

With her hands positioned confidently on her hips, the 63-year-old was a stand out at the event, pairing the fitted dress with a pair of stunning silver, dangly earrings and a silver watch.  Meanwhile, Julie added further pops of colour with a light pink lipstick, which matched her pink polished nails.

The fundraising luncheon is an annual event attended by an impressive line-up of Aussie celebrities, fashion designers and community leaders all coming together to help those in need.

Tackling ovarian cancer is an important topic for Julie who was earlier this year announced as an official ambassador for the White Shirt Campaign which helps to spread awareness of the disease. The campaign itself ran from April 10 to May 8, with White Shirt Day recognised on the last day. Women across the country were given the opportunity to raise much needed funds for ovarian cancer research by purchasing and wearing a white shirt.

It has been a busy week for Julie who pulled out all the stops on Tuesday as she tried her hand at motor racing in a striking leopard-print outfit.

The former foreign affairs minister looked incredible as she visited the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, opting for a leopard-print top and skintight jeans. While the 63-year-old showed off her incredible figure, she also made a statement with her cropped hair do and stylish sneakers.

Sharing a series of photos on her Instagram page, Bishop wrote: “Such a fun day with all female #audidrivingexperience zooming around the track (although hitting reverse on the slalom was apparently a first) Thank you @audiaustralia.”
