Jenny Morrison wowed in a dazzling ball gown in the US just months ago, as she joined her prime minister husband Scott for a banquet hosted by Donald and Melania Trump. And now she’s revealed her incredible fashion taste once again with a stunning look in Indonesia.
Australia’s First Lady opted for an elegant white wrap dress that fell just below her knees as she attended the second inauguration of leader Joko Widodo and Vice-President Ma’ruf Amin over the weekend. The layered material clinched in at the waist with a thick white belt, while ending with bunched sleeves on both sides.
Jenny coupled the flattering dress with some bronze-coloured heels and wore her hair loose over her shoulders for the outing. She posed alongside her husband, who was also dressed to impress in a smart suit, as they met with President Widodo and his wife Iriana at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta. Iriana pulled out all the stops too, looking sensational in a light pink traditional Indonesian outfit, with her hair tied back in an elegant bun.
Morrison was primarily in Indonesia to discuss an Australia-Indonesia free trade agreement. Speaking about his discussions with President Widodo, he told reporters in Jakarta: “The IA-CEPA, in particular, has some very big components that deal with skills transfer and education opportunities and we’re looking forward to those being realised by Australian universities up here in Indonesia.”
Speaking of Widodo specifically, Morrison added: “He has been an extraordinary friend of Australia and his repeat election at this most recent election, I think speak volumes about Indonesia where we have someone such as President Widodo who has come very much from outside the Indonesian establishment and to have been successful at two successive elections is an extraordinary achievement.”
And it comes after Morrison and his wife were officially welcomed to the White House with a special reception hosted on the iconic front lawn in September. Despite usually keeping a low profile, only attending the most important of political events, mum-of-two Jenny looked incredible as she slipped into a dazzling navy gown for the special occasion in Washington DC. Wearing her hair pinned up, the 51-year-old looked incredible as she posed alongside her husband on the steps of America’s most famous residence.
Jenny’s sequinned frock flattered her beautifully, featuring a sheer sleeve detail on one side and a flowing cape, which only added to the elegance of her look. She paired the stunning gown with a pair of statement dangling earrings and kept her make-up natural, with soft curls framing her face.
Meanwhile Melania Trump opted for a very different look for the State Dinner as she stepped out in a mint green gown which featured an eye catching ruffle design running down the front of the dress. The ethereal dress featured sheer sleeves and pulled the First Lady in at the waist, showing off her slim figure.
The 51-year-old former model wore her hair in its usual sleek style, and opted for more dramatic make-up than her Australian counterpart. While President Trump and Prime Minister Morrison both donned tuxedos for the occasion, as they held hands with their respective wives during a photo call on the red carpet.
