If you thought entering your 70s meant you had to tone down things in the style department, think again!
Glenn Close, 71, put on a stunning display in a vibrant green ensemble as she attended a lunch to celebrate female Oscar nominees in California on Thursday.
The talented actress showed off her quirky style in a blue floral dress, which she teamed with a chic green fur coat, black boots and a pair of yellow-tinted sunglasses, which added an 1970s flare to the fabulous outfit.
To finish off the standout look, Glenn wore her short blonde locks styled to the side, and added subtle gold accessories.
It comes just weeks after Glenn was awarded Best Actress at the Movies for Grownups Awards for her role in The Wife.
The actress played the role of Joan, who is married to novelist Joe, played by Jonathan Pryce. The film follows her journey as she begins to question her life choices and the sacrifices she has made for her husband throughout their relationship. She starred in the movie alongside her real-life daughter Annie Stark who plays the role of a younger Joan, in flashback scenes.
Wearing a vibrant blue suit, the star was all smiles as she accepted the prestigious gong at the awards ceremony, which recognises films that resonate with audiences aged 50 and older.

In a very frank chat with The Guardian in January, the actress, who has been tipped for an Oscar on Sunday, revealed the sex scene with her co-star Jonathan was the first thing the pair shot on the film.
Speaking about the common misconception that those over the age of 50 aren’t interested in sex anymore, Glenn said: “It’s one of the great myths that you lose your sexuality as you get older.”
She added: “I feel as free and as creative, as sexual and as eager, as I ever have. And it’s ironic because I’m thinking ‘How much time do I have left now?’.”
Meanwhile, Glenn proved she is every bit a fashion icon as she showed off yet another stylish outfit for the Costume Designers Guild Awards in California on Tuesday. Glenn — who received the Spotlight Award — stole the show early on in a striking metallic power suit, looking every bit the leading lady that she is.
