Despite our scientific advances, many mysteries remain, such as how the universe began, whether there is life in outer space, and why the toilet still smells after being cleaned.

Now, there is an answer to our smelly toilets dilemmas and the solution is closer than you might think.

Gabby from Kings Cleaning Co reveals that nearly everyone misses a spot when cleaning the toilet which is the bumper pieces on the underside of the toilet seat. She shares a simple way to eliminate the mess for good.

“Toilet smelling like wee?” she asks.

“Then try removing these,” she writes, as she points to the bumper pieces from the underside of the toilet seat.

All you need to do is lift up the toilet seat, remove the bumper pieces and spray the crevices with cleaning spray.

Almost immediately the yellow stains disappear from the crevices.

The cleaning champion then poured some of the same cleaning product into a small tub filled with water before adding in the bumpers to soak.

After that, she cut a piece of melamine sponge, otherwise known as a magic eraser, and used it to scrub inside the crevices.

Within moments the video showed a close up of the clean bumper compartment compared to a still stained one for comparison.

“Look at the difference,” she writes.

“Smelling fresh,” she continues.

And voila! No more trapped pee smells.

Bathrooms are not the only place where nasty residue and smells build up, greasy stovetops can be a pain to clean and can affect the look and smell of your kitchen.

According to one TikToker, there’s a revolutionary way to clean your stovetop and it’s effective, cheap, and chemical free.

Look no further than your pantry for a lemon and some baking soda for a simple, game changing solution to clean your stovetop.

TikToker Yagmur shared her stovetop cleaning hack online saying, “Show me the life hack that you randomly saw one day that is now an unconscious standard practice in your life.”

“I’ll go first.”

In the video, Yagmur provides a demonstration of her newly discovered cleaning practice. First, she pours a spoonful of baking soda over a sliced lemon. Turning it over, she uses the lemon as a sponge to scrub her electric stovetop.

After going over the stove once, she adds more baking soda and lemon juice onto the stove and cleans until the top is grease-free.
