A driver found himself stuck in a ditch in a remote area. Fortunately, a local farmer arrived with his strong horse named Buddy to help.

The farmer attached Buddy to the car and shouted, “Pull, Nellie, pull!” but Buddy didn’t budge. He then cried out, “Pull, Buster, pull!” yet Buddy remained still.

He tried again, “Pull, Coco, pull!” but still no movement.

Finally, the farmer calmly said, “Pull, Buddy, pull!” and the horse successfully pulled the car from the ditch.

The grateful motorist was puzzled and asked the farmer why he called the horse by different names.

The farmer explained, “Oh, Buddy is blind, and if he thought he was the only one pulling, he wouldn’t even try!”
