Getting a grip on your health

Fortunately, grip strength – which is the key to arm strength – is one of the easiest things to work on. Grip exercises can be done while watching TV or talking on the phone – all you need is some books and some rubber bands, as we show below.

It might seem silly to use rubber bands as an exercise tool but the improvements that it will make to your grip strength are hugely beneficial. If starting off with one rubber band is too easy for you, then you can always add more bands to increase the difficulty.

Books are another great tool for improving your grip strength. If you grab two or more books that are roughly the same size and pinch them tougher as hard as you can, you have a great grip, hand, and forearm workout to do in the comfort of your own home.
