Whether you’re in the mood for British gangsters, bungling spies, a gripping true-crime drama or the thrill of discovering that an old vase is worth a small fortune, this week’s streaming line-up has plenty to keep you entertained.

Paramount+ – Paid – MobLand Season 2

The Harrigan family is back, and its criminal empire is looking more fractured than ever. Tom Hardy returns as fixer Harry Da Souza, who must walk a dangerous tightrope as rivalries intensify and violence threatens to engulf everyone around him. With Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren and Paddy Considine also returning, the second season promises another ruthless battle for power, packed with family feuds, shifting loyalties and some very expensive suits.

Apple TV – Paid – Slow Horses Season 6

Jackson Lamb and his wonderfully dysfunctional team of MI5 rejects return for another dangerous assignment, although this time the Slow Horses are the ones being hunted. As members of Slough House are targeted, Lamb must work out who wants them dead before there is nobody left to save. Gary Oldman remains the gloriously dishevelled heart of this sharp, darkly funny spy thriller, which continues to balance high-stakes action with some of the best insults on television.

Stan – Paid – American Hostage

Inspired by an extraordinary true story, this psychological thriller stars Jon Hamm as Fred Heckman, a popular Indianapolis radio reporter who finds himself pulled into a terrifying live-broadcast crisis. When hostage-taker Tony Kiritsis, played by Giovanni Ribisi, demands to be interviewed on Heckman’s program, the broadcaster is forced to navigate a volatile situation with a man’s life hanging in the balance. Set during the 1970s, this is a tense account of a case that captivated America.

SBS On Demand – Free – Apollo Has Fallen

Following the events of Paris Has Fallen, MI6 operative Zara Taylor and protection officer Vincent Taleb are drawn into another dangerous international conspiracy. After a mission involving a kidnapping goes badly wrong, the pair face ruthless mercenaries, buried secrets and a deadly virus capable of placing millions of lives at risk. Moving from the Libyan coast to London, Madrid and beyond, this fast-paced thriller raises the stakes while testing Zara and Vincent’s loyalties.

9Now – Free – Antiques Roadshow

There is something endlessly satisfying about watching an unsuspecting guest discover that the ornament gathering dust at home may be worth a small fortune. Experts travel across Britain examining family heirlooms, curious collectables and unexpected treasures while uncovering the stories behind them. Even when an item turns out to be worth very little, its history can prove far more interesting than its price tag.

7plus – Free – Sisters

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler play sisters who return to their childhood home after learning their parents plan to sell it. Determined to relive their younger years, they decide to throw one final party, only for the night to descend into the sort of chaos that is considerably less appealing when you are old enough to understand insurance. Silly, energetic and packed with familiar comedy faces, it is an easy choice when you want something light.
