First dates can be awkward affairs for anyone, and the Studio 10 panel have recalled some of their most horrific on the show – with some hilarious results.

Sarah Harris introduced the segment on Wednesday’s episode, asking her fellow panelists Denise Scott, Joe Hildebrand and Angela Bishop to share some of their own nightmare first date stories.

From a stalker to a dancing injury and even some unexpected vomiting, they didn’t disappoint viewers as they pushed aside their embarrassment to share some of their most humiliating moments.

Denise kicked things off, as she explained: “This is a fairly disgusting story,” before joking: “What time is it?”

The comedian, 63, explained that when she was 16 she went on a first date with a “gorgeous” guy, but it took a rather sour turn after they enjoyed a few drinks together.

“We went in for our first kiss and he vomited… I pashed him anyway!” she joked, to which her co-star Sarah Harris asked: “Was it you?” Which sparked laughs from the whole panel. Denise answered: “Maybe you’re right… No I loved him regardless!”

Joe then piped up with his own encounter, and recalled: “I once dropped a woman on her head. We were dancing, I think my last words were ‘oh don’t worry, I’ve done this hundreds of times’.

“I was flipping her or something, we were rock n’ roll dancing, and I flipped her. I’m not victim blaming, she hadn’t done it before! But instead of flipping her over, she sort of went straight down on her head. We didn’t really see each other much after that.”

However, they kept the best until last as Angela finally revealed her own horrific date story with a stalker.

“There was this one, this was years and years and years ago – decades ago – and we’re having a nice dinner and all was going well, and he said ‘there’s probably something I should tell you before you decide whether you want to go on a second date with me’.

“He goes, ‘I’ve kind of been accused of stalking, and I might be on A Current Affair tonight… So you might want to watch the story and then decide’.” Her fellow panellists immediately burst out laughing, insisting her story beat them all, before she admitted she did in fact watch the show.

“I just casually thought that maybe we’d be better friends,” she added. “But I did appreciate the honesty, I thought that was a very good sign.”

The presenters were applauded for their honesty by viewers at home, with one writing on Twitter: “Bwhahahaha! Ange. Date Night. Went well. #Studio10 Hilarious!”
