The 20th century arguably boasted some of the most prolific singers in human history, from immortalised legends like Elvis Presley to artists that continue to make waves in modern music like Dolly Parton.

Some singers have even earned themselves a nickname. Most of us know Michael Jackson as the King of Pop, or Shania Twain as the Queen of Country Pop. However, one 20th century legend stands out as The Chairman of the Board — the burning question is, who could this be?

Can’t wait to find out? Scroll down to the bottom of this article for the answer!

From smooth jazz to Christmas tunes…

This prolific artist is widely considered to be among the world’s best-selling music artists and one of the most popular entertainers of his time. He’s had a vast range of accolades from both fellow musicians and critics, three stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his multi-talented portfolio of works and was even named “the greatest singer of the 20th century” by Robert Christgau.

So, who could this be?

Our daily trivia was able to list four possible answers for us to choose from:

  1. Paul Weller
  2. Mick Jagger
  3. Boz Scaggs
  4. Frank Sinatra

For some of you, we’re sure that this list has just confirmed your suspicions. For others, it may have thrown a wrench into the mix…

Have you got it? Ring-a-Ding-Ding!

For those of you that guessed Frank Sinatra, give yourselves a pat on the back — it is indeed Sinatra who was aptly nicknamed the Chairman of the Board for the absolute charisma and control he commanded in any crowd he was entertaining.

From ever-popular hits that continue to be covered like Fly Me To The Moon to classic Christmas songs like Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!, the echoes of his fame and legend continue to be cast in shadow by those who seek to imitate that Sinatra-esque energy, but no one does it like Ol’ Blue Eyes.
