An ABC journalist was caught off guard this week yelling at her hair stylist to get out of the shot while live on hair.
Like any TV reporter, Tamara Ouydn was getting a routine touch-up during the break when the camera turned back a little too early.
Instead of returning to the screen looking fresh faced and ready to present the news segment, Tamara was seen trying to shoo away her hair stylist who was still perfecting her look.
The journalist maintained a calm composure, staring straight into the camera as she asked the hair stylist to get out of the shot.
“Can you jump out please? Jump out, hurry,” she can be heard saying.
After realising they had started recording a little earlier than expected the hair stylist quickly dropped the hairspray in a basket and jumped to the side.
Speaking directly to the director Tamara then joked: “Are you kidding?”
The humorous video has been spread across the internet with one social media user by the name of Darren, claiming the reporter was “startled” by the mix-up.
Seeing the funny side of it Tamara quickly replied and cleared up the situation.
“I would hardly say I was startled, Darren. But thanks so much for sharing,” she wrote on the post.
“We went to air a minute earlier than we’d prepared for. I thought perhaps the director was trying to give us a scare. Hence ‘are you kidding?'”
Hoping not to offend anyone Darren added another comment, explaining that he thought Tamara handled the mistake well.
“Yes, very professional indeed, sorry. Bit of a giggle too,” he wrote on Twitter.
“I think a lot of that stuff is effectively (partially) automated and it was the hair stylist who got caught out not paying attention. Certainly not Tamara tho [sic]. Hope I haven’t embarrassed anyone too much.”
Others also complimented the reporter on her professionalism and ability to handle unforeseen situations.
“Not that I wish you bad luck or anything but you always seem at your best when dealing with an issue be it autocue or a coughing fit or indeed this. Keep up the excellent work,” one person commented.
“Love it and so relaxed about it all,” another added.
This is not the first time a reporter has been caught unprepared with former ABC News 24 anchor Natasha Exelby last year seen fidgeting with her nails when the cameras flicked back, clearly not at all ready to be back in the spotlight.

It was only a split second before she regained her composure, but her hilariously surprised reaction went viral around the world for good reason.
As the cameras came back to her in the studio, Exelby looked up in surprise from her hands and gasped in shock with eyes wide, looking every bit the proverbial deer in the headlights!
After the little shock, Exelby quickly tucked her hands down and managed to find her words (if a little high pitched) to get the next segment rolling.
