Celine Dion, 53, has revealed that she is having health issues that will cause her to cancel her upcoming shows in Las Vegas, releasing a heartbreaking statement announcing the news to her fans via Instagram.

In the statement, it was noted that Dion has been suffering from “unforeseen medical symptoms”.

The statement continues, “Celine has been experiencing severe and persistent muscle spasms which are preventing her from performing”.

The statement then outlined that all shows between November 5, 2021, and February 5, 2022, will be cancelled.

Further on, the statement explained how ticket holders can access refunds for their tickets, and would be put into a presale group to access tickets to the shows when they are rescheduled in early 2022.

Dion shared an Instagram post with the announcement, saying “I’m heartbroken by this. My team and I have been working on our new show for the past eight months, and to not be able to open this November saddens me beyond words.”

Dion continued “My partners at Resorts World Las Vegas and AEG have been working around the clock to get this brand-new state-of-the-art theatre ready, and it’s absolutely beautiful.”

“I feel so bad that I’m letting them down, and I’m especially sorry for disappointing all the fans who’ve been making their plans to come to Las Vegas. Now, I have to focus on getting better… I want to get through this as soon as I can” she said, singing off the caption with “- Celine xx…”.

One good piece of news to come from this start is that Dion’s tour “Courage World Tour” will resume on March 9, 2022 after being rescheduled multiple times.

This tour will start in Denver, and continue around the United States and Canada, before making its way to England in May 2022. From here, Dion and her tour will travel to Ireland and Scotland, then trek across Europe until the end of September 2022.

The tour will then pause for eight months, before resuming in May 2023 for the final leg across Europe and the Mediterranean.

Fingers crossed Celine feels better soon, so she can continue her colossal tour.
