Microwaves can be hard work to clean, but once you know this simple trick the task becomes a whole lot easier!

All you need is one cup of vinegar, one cup of hot water, a bowl and a wet rag.

1. Pour one cup of vinegar into a small bowl and add one cup of hot water.
2. Put the bowl in the microwave and set your timer for 5-10 minutes.
3. Carefully take the bowl out of the microwave when it stops, use mitts or a tea towel as the bowl and liquid will be quite hot.
4. Using a wet rag, wipe out your microwave.
