Are you on the hunt for new home decor but don’t want to spend a fortune? Well, you’re in luck, as supermarket giant Coles is set to launch a brand new homewares range this week, and it’s giving retailer Kmart – which has accumulated a cult following in recent years thanks to its cheap decor finds – a run for its money!
As part of its new ‘Best Buys’ range, the supermarket giant teamed up with homewares brand Marketlane to develop the stylish-yet-affordable range, available from Friday, April 9.
Coles shoppers will be able to get their hands on a real marble side table for just $49.99, faux plants starting from $6.99, chic photo frames and prints from $9.99, scented candles from $6.99, vases, planter pots and wall decor from $6.99, an ottoman at $39.99 and side tables for just $49.99. Here’s a further breakdown of what you can expect:
Some of their life-like faux plants include a large fiddle-leaf fig in a woven basket for $49.99, a $14.99 Monstera plant, trailing plants for $16.99, a plant in a terracotta pot with a wooden stand for just $14.99, and etched planter plots with wooden legs for just $6.99.
Some of their stylish wall decor options include a monochrome wall clock for $16.99, a set of four framed coastal prints for $14.99, a hanging collage photo frame for just $9.99 and a rattan-style mirror for $19.99.
Other items up for grabs include a glass vase set and a dome glass lantern with a candle. Both items retail for $9.99 respectively.
“Our homes have become our havens over the past year, so we’re thrilled to be joining forces with new and emerging brand Marketlane to offer our customers the opportunity to shop amazing value on-trend homewares, which they’d normally find in a department or homewares store,” Jonathan Torr, Coles general manager for Non-Food, said in a statement.
“The range is completely coordinated so, as part of their everyday grocery shop, customers can decorate their homes with pieces they know will work beautifully together.”
The new homewares range will be available at 200 Coles stores across the country from this Friday until stock lasts, so you had better get in quickly!
The launch comes as a Coles store in Melbourne’s northwest introduced new package-free refill stations that dispense shampoo, body and hand wash, and laundry liquids in a bid to slash throwaway plastics. According to a news.com.au report, there’s also stations where people can get their fruits and veggies cut up, sliced or juiced, as well as a bread slicing station.
