They’re one of the most famous and much-loved mother-daughter duos in Hollywood, and Goldie Hawn and her daughter Kate Hudson have very few secrets between each other – well, at least now they don’t.
The pair sat down to play Ellen DeGeneres’ popular game Burning Questions on her show this week, which saw each of them answer a question with the first thing that comes to mind, before pressing a buzzer and moving it on to the next person.
Of course, the questions were fairly rude from the start and both stars answered with surprising honesty — with some racy answers that left the crowd in fits of laughter, covering everything from sex during pregnancy to fluffy handcuffs and stripping naked.
First up, they were asked to recall their most rebellious moment as a teenager. While Goldie admitted driving a car through a cemetery, she was left gobsmacked when her daughter said she once stole her Ferrari and drove it to an ice hockey game.
As Kate insisted it was incredible to drive, Goldie joked: “It drove like a vagina, that’s how it drove!” It led Kate to recall another hilarious moment from their past when her famous mum had a car stolen from their home – but didn’t realise it was even gone until two weeks later.
Next up they were asked if they’d ever caught their parents having sex which of course left Goldie very red-faced as Kate immediately answered “yes” and hit her buzzer. Luckily, it was a no from both Goldie herself and Ellen.
Not hesitating long on that, Ellen went on to ask what word they both use instead of swearing when kids are around, prompting them to each admit they still swear, before she asked: “Have you ever been in handcuffs?”
“No,” a smiling Goldie responded, which got shouts of “liar” from her daughter and Ellen who refused to believe her. Attempting to push her point, Goldie added: “I like to touch people!”
Incidentally, Kate was honest and answered “yes”.
Next, Ellen asked: “Besides making love, showering or swimming… What’s something else that you’ve tried doing naked?”

Kate immediately burst into laughter as Goldie buzzed early before recalling: “I was at Lake Mead in the ’70s and I didn’t have any clothes on and I skinny-dipped in the water and I was naked, right?”
As Ellen pointed out that the question said ‘other than swimming’, a shocked Goldie joked: “Well OK I didn’t swim!”
Finally, turning attention to Kate’s huge baby bump as she comes close to her due date, Ellen asked: “What’s the hardest thing to do when you’re pregnant?”
Goldie began by saying “fly” before Kate added: “It’s more than one thing. It’s sleep, it’s sex…” Jumping right in there, Goldie responded: “I never found that,” getting a shocked look from her daughter and laughs from the audience.
Elsewhere on the show, the pair sat down for a chat with the host about Kate’s past births with her two sons, Ryder and Bingham. She revealed Goldie was there for her last birth and even brought along a magnolia plant and some pizza as she felt “hungry”.
Asked what the flower meant, she recalled her mum putting it down and telling her to look at it and think of her own vagina opening up just like the flower – leaving Ellen shocked at the bizarre comparison.
Kate also recalled the moment Goldie first phoned her when she had gone into labour to ask her how far along she was, as she wanted to work out if she had enough time for a swim and massage before going to join her in the delivery room.
