Barbra Streisand has belted out some of her greatest musical hits during an entertaining car ride with TV host James Corden.

The 76-year-old put The Late Late Show host to the test as they sung some of her most loved songs, including ‘No More Tears’ and ‘The Way We Were’ for the popular Carpool Karaoke segment.

In a switch up to the way the segment is usually run, Streisand took to the driver’s seat and chauffeured Corden around Los Angeles for the day.

Singing to their hearts content, the two laughed along together, as they discussed everything from Streisand’s failed driving tests to the nerves she still gets before performing and her latest album ‘Walls’.

The famous songwriter revealed it took her four attempts to pass her written driving test to get her license renewed, claiming she was “so nervous”. It seems her driving skills haven’t improved that much since either as Streisand admitted she even found herself driving on the wrong side of the highway recently.

“This is not what I need to hear right now,” Corden joked. “If this is how I go out, I’ll take it… died at the hands of Barbra Streisand.”

In between random bursts of song, Streisand also revealed that she still feels nervous before stepping onto the stage and uses the motto “let go and let God” to calm herself down.

“I don’t get nervous, nervous, but I don’t enjoy it,” she told Corden. “I get scared, I just don’t want to disappoint people.”

Corden then questioned Streisand, who has never been US President Donald Trump’s biggest fan, about her current views on American politics. It was here the singer explained the current political climate is the reasoning behind her new album ‘Walls’.

“That’s why I did this album, every song relates to something about what’s going on in these difficult times,” she told the TV host. “The only thing I can do is write about it and tweet, people deserve the truth.”

One of the album’s most controversial songs ‘Don’t Lie to Me’ is aimed solely at Trump with Streisand questioning the president how he sleeps at night and warning him in the lyrics: “Everyone answers to someone.”

Other lines include, “How do you sleep when the world keeps turning?/All that we built has come undone” and “how do you sleep when the world is burning?”
