Your News Feed on Facebook has had a big change overnight: there are now six new ways to respond to Facebook posts. They are called ‘Reactions’. Have you noticed the change?

You can now do more than simply “like” a post. Say hello to “love”, “haha”, “wow’, “sad” and “angry” reactions. It’s a fun way to express yourself about things on Facebook – you can easily show that you love it, laugh at it or feel angered by it!

Here’s how to use Facebook Reactions:

On a computer, you’ll need to hover over the “like” button to see the new emoji reactions. The reactions will pop up and then tap on the one you want to use.

On a mobile, you’ll need to press and hold down the “like” button before the reactions will appear.

Some Facebook users have reported that this is not working so here a few tips to make sure you get the latest update:

  • Close your app completely and reopen it. The reactions should then appear.
  • Go to to the App Store or Android Play store and update the app.

Don’t forget to ‘Love’ our posts!

  1. It doesn’t work on my iPad, but it does on my iPhone.

  2. Not working on my android at the moment and not that worried either.

  3. I cant get it to work n i am not updating my facebook app as it wont open again. I used to always update my facebook app n then when i couldnt get into it i wont do it again. If u go into the playstore n read the comments u will see others that have had the same problem

  4. Yes I’ve puddled with it. I think it a great idea as several feeds I get have articles I want to see and have liked just to keep that page in my news feed, like however isn’t the emotion these articles stir in me.
