Put your feet first with this surefire solution for softer heels

Look after your feet and give them a treat.

If you have rough heels on your feet you don’t need to go to extremes to solve the problem.

Rough skin removal tools, including razors and thick metal files that look a lot like a cheese grater, are not the best idea.

Although they might do the job quickly you can go too far and do more damage than good, making your feet feel sore and tender, and might even make your heels bleed.

Instead, get out your nail file.

Nail files work well on more than just your nails.

Not just good for your nails, a simple emery board is enough to smooth away the rough areas of skin without doing damage.

Rub away at all the rough spots leaving nice smooth heels.

You can finish the job with a nice treatment by putting a heavy foot cream on, putting on some socks, and letting the cream absorb into the skin.

After doing a few weeks of this treatment your feet will look, and feel, so much better.

Make sure to clean the emery board after use.

Soap and water will do the trick.
