We would like to share with you how we travelled on USD60 (AUD92) for 300 days in 2015. Back in 2013/14 our travel budget was AUD165 per day, our challenge was to achieve this new lower figure and we did it!

  1. Yet another conflicting headline, SAS. Was it US$60 in total for 300 days or $60 a day? If $60 total that would mean about 20cents a day!!! For heavens sake, proof read your material before you post. I’m so sick of these errors – I’m almost gone!!

    • Hi Judy Green we believe this headline is clear: it’s USD60 a day – the article explains this

    • I must be reading a different headline. It clearly says “USD60 (AUD92) for 300 days” in the sentence above the photo. When I read conflicting headlines/captions like this, I very rarely bother to read the articles.

    • Judy Green Judy as SAS has previously explained, they are under staffed and don’t have time to proof read what they post. So it’s understandable that they will be lots of errors and amatuer sensationalist journalism.

    • It only takes a few seconds for the writer to read back over what she/he has just written.

  2. Interesting – but where are the costs for consumables, entry tickets, water, camera/film costs and there HAD to be incidentals like bandaids, deodorants etc
