Woman finds scathing note from neighbour on doorstep

The angry note was left anonymously.

A Melbourne women returned home this week to find an angry note from one of her neighbours accusing her of stinking out the apartment complex where they live with her barbecue.

The anonymous note was delivered to Rose – a producer at Melbourne’s 3AW radio station – and told her to learn to be more considerate or move out.

In the following days she received another – also anonymous – note accusing her of playing loud music and “making a racket with her bogan friends”.

“I know most of my neighbours and they will agree you are lying as you are petty, bitchy freaks,” the letter said.

Rose told News Corp she was surprised to read the accusations because she lives a relatively quiet life, thanks to her early shifts at the radio station that see her in bed by 9pm every night and hasn’t had a BBQ in weeks.

The whole debacle has sparked debate over whether or not it is okay to leave aggressive notes like this without signing your name.

Rose says she has no idea who the letter came from and thinks they may be targeting the wrong apartment.

If it was signed she would have been able to confront them and correct the mistake.

However, neighbourly disputes like this have been occurring seemingly forever with the ongoing battle over the fence popping up in many streets across the country.

While some residents are happy to hash it out in public, others are more inclined to leave an anonymous letter airing their grievances.

What do you think about this? Should you have the guts to sign your name to a letter like this? Or is it okay to leave it anonymously?
