US president Donald Trump has suffered an embarrassing email fail after his team sent a daily update to thousands of people promoting a satirical article written about his budget.
The article from The Washington Post, titled ‘Trump’s budget makes perfect sense and will fix America, and I will tell you why’, appeared in a list a news items the White House was promoting for their coverage of the administration.
It has since been deleted from the email, but not before people captured an image of it and sent it out to their social media followers.
Some of the articles funniest lines make light of Trump’s campaign promise to “make America great again”.
“This budget will make America a lean, mean fighting machine with bulging, rippling muscles and not an ounce of fat. America has been weak and soft for too long,” the article reads.
“BUT HOW WILL I SURVIVE ON THIS BUDGET? you may be wondering. I AM A HUMAN CHILD, NOT A COSTLY FIGHTER JET.
“You may not survive, but that is because you are SOFT and WEAK, something this budget is designed to eliminate.”
Another line makes it clear that affordable housing isn’t a necessity.
“Affordable housing is a luxury and we are going to get rid of it. Donald Trump does not live in affordable housing and neither should you,” it says.
The mishap has already gone viral online, with millions of people talking about it.
This White House clearly only reads the headlines of articles.
