Trump to have ‘awkward’ meeting with The Queen

US President Donald Trump might have a few posts on social media that he might want to reconsider deleting ahead of some important meetings.

An official announcement on Friday from Buckingham Palace is that The Queen has invited President Trump for a visit.  President Trump and First Lady Melania were quick to accept the invitation.

British Prime Minister Theresa May was the first foreign leader to visit the White House since President Trump’s inauguration.  Prime Minister May told the press, “The invitation is an indication at the strength and importance of the special relationship that exists between our two countries”.  She then added, “And in a further sign of the importance of that relationship I have today been able to convey Her Majesty the Queen’s hope that President Trump and the first lady would pay a state visit to the United Kingdom later this year, and I’m delighted that the president has accepted that invitation”.

The tweet that President Trump might want to think about, though we are doubt that it will be brought to the attention of the Queen, is one that President Trump made in September 2012.  During this time some topless photos of the now Dutchess Kate Middleton had been leaked to the press and the now President tweeted, “Who wouldn’t take Kate’s picture and make lots of money if she does the nude sunbathing thing. Come on Kate!”

While it might not come to the attention of The Queen, it will surely be in the press in time for his visit.

Do you think that President Trump should apologise for the tweet?  Do you think that it was so long ago that it shouldn’t even be brought up?
