The list the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge did not want to make

It is certainly not a list anyone would want to find themselves on and yet this is exactly what has happened to some of the younger members of the royal family, including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Catherine.

A writer for the Daily Mail has spent several weeks reviewing the performances of the royal family, politicians and celebrities to come up with a list of those who have demonstrated the worst of manners throughout 2016 and Prince William and Catherine find themselves taking out one of the top gongs.

According to William Hanson, the Duke and Duchess have terrible time keeping, which was more than evident during their official visit of Canada earlier this year.

Hanson says, “There were multiple instances of the glamorous royalty keeping Canadians waiting, including the arrival, where the family took a whole 20 minutes to disembark in order to be greeted by the Canadian welcome party. That’s just not on.”

He also writes that the couple turned up 40 minutes late for the official welcome and were running late to another event in Vancouver too.

However, the couple weren’t the only members of the British royal family to make the list.

Prince Harry has been awarded the ‘Best Throwing Toys Out of Pram’ award by Hanson for his “unprecedented communique” to the media when news of his new girlfriend, American actress Meghan Markle, broke around the world.

“The media are annoying, we get that,” Hanson writes. “But there may have been more dignified ways for you (and the establishment you represent) to air your concerns.”

What do you think of the young royals making such a list? Do you think it’s bad manners to turn up late to a social engagement? Share your thoughts with us.

I do not have a problem with Harry having a go at the press as I believe they warranted it but being late for official functions is totally unacceptable With the staff they have on hand even though they have very young children, it should not be a problem to be on time.

    • I absolutely agree and that goes for anyone arriving late it quiet rude

  2. Rose Leeson

I do not have a problem with anyone being late, often something at the last minute turns, apologies aƧcepted
    Is normal practice.

When you have children you often late as the children’s needs come first.

  4. Leave the young Royals alone stop all that nit pickin you never know what holds you up when you have children also knowing you have eyes on you at all times you have to be spot on . If you happen to get a little spot on your outfit The Media would pick it up and make a big issue about it so I say get a life leave Royals alone

Absolutely – They are Parents and things happen sometimes seriously LEAVE THEM ALONE

  5. Nell Hamilton-Schulz

More rubbing article. When I first read the title of this site I expected more. You insult us.

  6. Tell it to someone who cares! The world is in chaos, people are being bombed to bits in Syria and Iraq, terrorists are planning further mass murder as we speak, and you are talking about the Royals being late for appointments. Get a life and report on something worthwhile and significant, rather than trivial gossip, perving on the lives of others.

Well, this list is as about as insignificant as anything. I am sure the people on it will not even bother reading it, and if they, or their press secretaries do, then all that will happen will be that this journalist (using the term loosely) will be blacklisted off their preferred journalists lists.
As for William & Kate, despite all the help they have at hand, they still have two toddlers to care for. Toddlers don’t give a toss about time. They will need a nappy change or decide to just sit down and play right now. Keeping to a schedule, in order to fit into some journalist’s appointment book, is the least of their concerns.

Desperate measures were obviously needed to get people to read the trashy paper…when in doubt bash the royals……………..try printing real news for a change

    • Dale Hennessy

Absolutely agree… pi feel my intelligence being insulted more and more with theses type of articles!

Just saw this – for goodness sake there are for important things to ask people to make comments on. Who knows one them may have had an attack of diarrhoea or vomiting, or some other drama that happens to us all at some time. Give them a break and I think anybody over 60 has been late at least once in their life!!!!
