The heartwarming strength of the relationship between Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds

Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds had one of the strongest mother and daughter bonds seen in Hollywood.

And now we’re seeing just how close they are, heartbreakingly just a week since their tragic deaths.

A new trailer for a documentary starring the pair has been released and if you were a fan of the pair or you’re missing your mother or daughter, it’s sure to be both heartbreaking and heartwarming.

The show, Bright Lights: Starring Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds, follows the pair’s relationship and was filmed in 2014 and 2015. 

What’s heartbreaking is the show was due to air later this year, but it was moved up for early release after the mother and daughter pair died last week.

The beautiful trailer shows Fisher and Reynolds at their best, laughing and talking.

There are some tender moments including a frank conversation between the two about mental health.

It’s sure to remind you of your very own mother-daughter relationship and give you plenty of feels.

The show’s directors opened up to People about what the love between the pair.

“We started out making a film about Hollywood royalty,” Alexis Bloom and Fisher Stevens said.

“And we ended up making a film about love.”

How beautiful is that?!

A further testament to their love, Fisher and Reynolds will be farewelled at a joint funeral.

May they both rest in peace.
