Is Samantha Armytage preparing to marry Hollywood heartthrob Tom Cruise and become the next queen of Scientology?
In short, no.
The Sunrise host took to social media to slam a report by Women’s Day that claimed the pair had been canoodling on secret late-night dates since meeting on the breakfast show last week.

Armytage snapped a photo of the magazine cover and shared it on her Instagram page, writing “Say whaaat?”
Cruise appeared on Sunrise last week to promote his new movie and seemed to have a grand old time chatting to Armytage and co-host Kochie, even sharing the exclusive news that he will begin shooting Top Gun 2 later this year.
It appears Women’s Day wrote their story about the pair’s date nights without a shred of proof and failed to name any so-called sources either.
It’s not the first time the magazine has been accused of concocting stories about Sam and other celebrities.
In a media landscape riddled with accusations of fake news, readers have shown their frustration at publication, with readership declining by 13.5 per cent over 2015-16, according to Mumbrella.
This morning, Armytage spoke out about the rumours of her relationship with Cruise again, laughing it off as Kochie gave her a grilling over the accusations.
