We seem to read a lot in the news these days about a famous person’s personal items going up for auction after they’ve died.

Over the years there’s been a lot of personal things of Princess Diana’s sold at auction.

Now an unseen, personal letters about her sons Prince Harry and Prince William is about to be sold at auction, and they’re truly beautiful.

In one of the letters, written in 1984, Princess Diana reveals the love between her young sons.

“William adores his little brother and spends the entire time swamping Harry with an endless supply of hugs and kisses, hardly letting the parents near!” she wrote.

Diana also writes about being ‘overwhelmed’ by the response to Prince Harry’s birth.

“The reaction to one tiny person’s birth has totally overwhelmed us and I can hardly breathe for the mass of flowers that are arriving here!” she wrote.

In another letter in 1992, Diana writes about how Prince Harry being mischievous at school.

“The boys are well and enjoying boarding school a lot, although Harry is constantly in trouble!” she wrote.

You might be wondering how these letters have made it to the public eye?

Well, they were sent from Princess Diana to  Cyril Dickman, who was a steward at Buckingham Palace and close to the family.

Apparently, his grandson uncovered the letters after he died in 2012 and the family decided to auction them.

The letters are beautiful and interesting of course, but should they really be auctioned off?

After all, they are quite personal.

What do you think about this? What should happen with the letters?

All letters and/or items should be given to William and Harry, not sold so others can profit from Diana’s death, discusting.

I have to agree and the steward who they belonged to I’m sure would not like this to be happening, they should be returned to her boys.

  2. Robyn Lewis

I belive they should be given to prince william and harry because they are written by there mother who they loved

  3. Denise

I think it’s fine, but it would be great to see them, so if they could be put into a book or on a website where we can all access them, that would be great. There have been several books about Diana, but it would be good to see some of the things she actually wrote to see what she was really like.

  4. Joan Marshall

Sadly I feel Princess Diana let her boys down by mixing with Dodi Al Fayeed. Diana lost her life so young. Of all the eligible men in England why Dodi? a man dependant on his Father for a living. I feel so sorry for her sons.

  5. I believe they should be given to Prince William and Prince Harry, and kept in their family.I am sure they would treasure them and their children would be able to read them and know their Nana, through these letters .Diana ,loved her boys so very much.

    • Let her children decide what they want to do about the letters. Not some money hungry ass that just want’s to exploit the family again. His father did it now his son. Time to grow up.I hope they go after him for trying to do this
