Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s cute moments in Canada

The past week, the world watched the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge embark on and successfully complete their first trip to Canada after becoming parents, and therefore, was special as it was their first international tour as a family of four.

From the moment they first landed, all eyes were on little Prince George, three, and his adorable sister Princess Charlotte – for whom this was the first overseas trip in all of her 16 months. Without a doubt, they stole everyone’s hearts.

As they stepped off the plane, Prince George was adorable in a blue wool jumper, and Princess Charlotte looked sweet in a blue floral dress with a matching hair slide, as the family descended down the stairs to the tarmac.

Once there, there was a sweet exchange between little George and the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Forget about high-fives, low-fives or even a simple handshake, Prince George was having none of it.

While a lot of people would fall over themselves to shake hands with Mr Trudeau, Prince George was cooler than a cucumber at that first meeting.

While on the tour, they had one official engagement, a lively tea party for military families. Apart from this, the two youngsters spent the week in the privacy of Government House and around Victoria, enjoying secret outings with their nanny, including one to a petting zoo.

As they prepared to leave, they had clearly been practicing their royal waves.

The two children waved to enchanted crowds as they accompanied their parents through Victoria harbour and onto their waiting sea-plane.

The trip seems to have been a roaring success. In honour of the trip, Justin Trudeau, the Canadian Prime Minister, last night announced his government will bestow a gift of $100,000 on behalf of the royal family, which will be divided equally between the Prince’s Charities Canada and the Immigrant Services Society of British Columbia.

“Canadians have a real affection for the Royal family which was once again very much on display during this tour,” said Mr Trudeau.

As they said their goodbyes, the gathered crowd made it evident that they loved having the royal visitors. And by the sounds of it, Prince William and Duchess Catherine have loved introducing the kids to the wonderful country of Canada.

How adorable are the little royals? Was it nice to see the kids enjoying themselves on their tour?
