Doctors confirm John Kennerley’s latest diagnosis after his freak fall

Doctors have confirmed that Kerri-Anne Kennerley’s husband John has sustained spinal cord damage, following a freak fall last weekend.

According to doctors, the next 10 to 12 days will determine the extent of John’s recovery. Kerri-Anne released a brief message, saying this is the toughest time she’s experienced.

“While this is the most traumatic and devastating news we have been overwhelmed with messages of good wishes and prayers. Thanks to all”, Kerri-Anne said in a brief statement.

The 75-year-old broke his neck during the fall, and has remained on a ventilator all week. On Monday, doctors operated on John’s C2 and C3 vertebrae.

The husband and wife’s manager said, “John is communicating with Kerri-Anne and medical staff. Today was actually companion day so patients were able to bring in their pets”.

“Kerri-Anne brought in their beloved golden retriever Digger for a visit with John in ICU which was appreciated by John”, manager Sean Anderson explained.

John Kennerley lost his footing at a gold resort last weekend, and fell off an outdoor deck. He “fell awkwardly” and was rushed to hospital by paramedics, where he was placed in an induced coma.

Starts at 60 readers have offered an outpouring of support for John and Kerri-Anne. “Wishing a full recovery for John & many more years of happiness together with Kerri-Anne”, said one reader.

Whilst another added, “Praying for you and your husband Kerri-Anne!”
