Nancy Sinatra reacts to Trumps use of her Father’s iconic song

New United States President Donald Trump hasn’t had the best luck with music during his campaign and election.

Time and time again he would use a piece of music that would capture the ideals of his campaign only for the singer or band to demand he stop using it.  The Rolling Stones, Neil Young and Adele.  He also came under from former Beatle George Harrison for his use of Here Comes the Sun at the Republican National Convention which they dubbed “offensive and against the wishes of the George Harrison estate.”

Sir Elton John had some choice words after Trump’s campaign used his hits Tiny Dancer and Rocket Man without permission saying, “I don’t really want my music to be involved in anything to do with an American election campaign. I’m British. I’ve met Donald Trump; he was very nice to me, it’s nothing personal, his political views are his own, mine are very different, I’m not a Republican in a million years. Why not ask Ted f***ing Nugent? Or one of those f***ng country stars? They’ll do it for you.”

After his inauguration, the President and the new First Lady Melania will be dancing to another iconic song for their first dance as the country’s most powerful couple.  The song is Frank Sinatra’s classic My Way but the late singer’s daughter Nancy sent out a small “warning” to President Trump. The tweet, which has since been deleted, stated that President Trump should remember the first line of the song.

The line she is referring too is “And now, the end is near.”  She cleared up any meaning behind her previous tweet sending out a follow-up:

What Frank himself would have said, we don’t know, but it probably would have had a few choice words like Elton.
