Michael Buble gives an emotional performance at children’s charity event

You were heartbroken after learning Canadian crooner Michael Bublé and his wife Luisana Lopilato announced their three-year-old son Noah had been diagnosed with cancer, and there was an outpouring of support when the singer said he would not perform while his child was receiving treatment.

However, Bublé made one final appearance for the televised charity fundraiser Children In Need on November 18, pre-recording a performance of the Beach Boys’ hit ‘God Only Knows’.

The 41-year-old singer filmed the segment for the charity in October, prior to his son’s cancer diagnosis.

However, viewers were left emotional after his haunting performance and quickly turned to social media to offer their words of support for Bublé and his family.

Children In Need is a United Kingdom charity that has raised more than £600 million (A$1 billion) since it began in 1980. It is one of the high profile British telethons and is broadcast on BBC each November.

Before the performance, Bublé addressed the camera and said, “Hey everybody it’s Michael Bublé and I’m delighted to be part of this year’s Children In Need.”

After it was announced that his son was diagnosed with cancer, both Bublé and Lopilato released a statement saying they would be “putting their careers on hold” while their little boy received treatment in the United States, and Bublé vowing not to sing again until Noah has beaten the disease.

What do you think of Michael Bublé’s performance? Do you support his decision to postpone performances in order to fully support his family?
