Madonna to become a mother again at 58

Madonna has reportedly lodged an adoption application with the courts.
She's about to do it all over again.

Singer Madonna is said to be planning to become a mother to not one, but two more children public after filing adoption papers with a court in Malawi.

The singer has flown to the small African country for charity work and also appeared in front of a judge to lodge her papers and ask to take home two children as her own.

It’s not the first time she has been through the process, previously adopting her son David in 2006 and her daughter Mercy in 2009, both from Malawi.

A spokesperson for the court said they were looking at her application and would make a decision soon.

“The court is looking at the application now to determine whether Madonna can adopt these two children,” said Mlenga Mvula, spokesman of the Lilongwe High Court.

“The … process requires the court to make a ruling on the adoption.”

While it sounds like a sure thing, the singer has denied she is in the country to adopt and is just there for charity.

However, the court spokesman has adamantly told news organisations she is going ahead with her plan.

It’s the first time Madonna has been to Malawi in a number of years after getting into a fight with the country’s former president, Joyce Banda.

Branda accused her of being “uncouth” and of wanting “eternal gratitude” from the struggling country for adopting her two children.

However, the new president has welcomed her with open arms, opening up the channels for her to adopt again.

If she does go ahead with the plan it means she will enter her 60s with two news little ones to look after for the next 18 years.

Very different to how most of us want to spend our retirement years!

It seems to be a growing trend though, with people starting families later in life these and celebrities leading the way.

Do you think it’s a good idea to have children later in life? Does age matter when it comes to caring for a child?

She is no mother to be proud of. Her family don’t want anything to do with her.

Celebrities seem to think this a way of making them look “wonderful” and “caring” – better if they just donated a lot of money to helping these people in their own country.

  2. If her adoption is successful I’m sure it will be a much better life for the kids with Madonna than what they are experiencing now.

She will have nannies to bring them up.

Arrest Madonna for ‘blow up the White House’ remark, says Newt Gingrich

Republican says pop star is part of ‘an emerging leftwing fascism’ after her comments at Women’s March

The former Republican House speaker Newt Gingrich has said Madonna “ought to be arrested” for telling the crowd at the Women’s March on Washington that she had “thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House”.

The singer said on Sunday that she had been speaking metaphorically. “I am not a violent person,” she wrote on Instagram. “I spoke in metaphor and I shared two ways of looking at things – one was to be hopeful, and one was to feel anger and outrage, which I have personally felt.”

During an interview on Fox & Friends, Gingrich accused Madonna of changing her tune because “she now understands she’s at risk”, adding that she was part of “an emerging leftwing fascism”.

Madonna’s speech led some television networks to abruptly cut away from their live feeds of the march on Saturday.

She led the crowd in chants of “Yes, we’re ready” to take on policies promoted by Donald Trump, who alienated many women during the election campaign with comments about rivals’ attractiveness and promises to outlaw or diminish abortion rights.

Madonna preceded the chants with coarse words for critics of the march. “To our detractors that insist that this march will never add up to anything, f*ck you,” she said.

Personally it wouldn’t be for me. But the stars, a different matter, yes she is getting on a bit but we all know she will not be looking after them 24/7, someone will be hired for that and most likely be a lot younger. As for the kids, it will be a far better life for them, in my opinion anyway.
