As you might have heard, today marks the 100th day of Donald Trump’s presidency – and there’s no denying it’s been an interesting 100 days.
There has been plenty of scandals, fallouts and Twitter sprays, but there has also been some successes too for the President.
On his 100th day, Trump has been criticised and praised for his time in office – and he’s even held a rally to celebrate.
Some of Trump’s harshest critics on his 100th day have been the US media organisations, and they had plenty to say about him.
The New York Times, who have been in a war of words with Trump since the election campaign, described him as “an ignoramus”.
“Governing, so far, has turned out to be more than Mr Trump can manage,” the opinion piece reads.
“He didn’t know very much coming into the job of president, including how little he knew, and the extent of his own ignorance has come as a continual surprise to him.”
“His determination to leverage his office to expand his commercial empire is the only objective to which Americans, after 100 days, can be confident this president will stay true.”
The Guardian has also come out swinging, describing Trump’s presidency as “100 days of failure”.
“As America and the world is finding out, a conspiracy theorist-in-chief is uniquely unqualified to lead,” an opinion piece read.
The Wall Street Journal on the other hand was more cautious. Instead of criticising Trump’s first 100 days of office, they’ve called for him to do more in his next 200 days.
“He needs to show policy results that produce faster economic growth,” an opinion piece read.
“That means learning the lessons of the first 100 days so they aren’t repeated in the next 200.”
You might be wondering what Trump had to say about his presidency so far?
Well, in an address on Friday, he said his first 100 days had been “just about the most successful” in US history.
“The first 100 days of my administration has been just about the most successful in our country’s history,” he said.
And today he held a 100 day rally in Pennsylvania, and used it to slam the media and his critics.
He described his first 100 days as “very exciting and very productive”.
