When it comes to giving gifts, there’s nothing like a personal touch to make someone feel truly special and it appears the Duchess of Cambridge has gone out of her way to do just that.

The whole world was captivated by Kate’s little sister Pippa who said ‘I do’ at the weekend in a lavish wedding in the English countryside.

While we were all busy looking at the ladies outfits though, it appears we missed one key thing: Kate’s personalised present for her sister and new brother-in-law.

Guests were photographed carrying a pretty wedding booklet out of the church after the ceremony and it turns out Kate drew the intricate black and white sketch on the front!

The drawing is of St. Mark’s Church, where Pippa and James were married, and features the historic building and beautiful garden surrounding it.

While many had hoped Kate would stand with Pippa as maid-of-honour, the two decided it would take too much focus off the bride on her big day and the Duchess graciously stood aside so her little sister could enjoy the spotlight.

The drawing on the wedding booklet was a special way for Kate to still be a part of her sister’s day without upstaging her.

Of course, Pippa famously upstaged the Duchess on her own wedding day with her memorable cream bridesmaid dress, but with so much pressure on her, it appears Kate didn’t mind one bit.

It’s nice to see the two sisters are still so close after all the big life changes they’ve been through together.

What do you think of her touching gift? Do you prefer handmade or personalised gifts?
