Help wanted: Kate needs a hand

Who will clean her tiara now?

Like a modern day Cinderella, the Duchess of Cambridge went from being a commoner to a real life princess but now it seems she may have to don an apron once again after her top housekeeper suddenly quit.

Sadie Rice, 35, up and quit her $60,000 job after it became “too demanding” according to a UK report.

A source from the Queen’s nearby Sandringham Estate was reported saying that while Rice was a hard worker, the job’s demands got to be too much after she was asked to move with Kate and Wills to Kensington Palace.

Rice has been with the family for less than two years at Norfolk’s Anmer Hall and allegedly got on well with George, three, and Charlotte, two.

Her responsibilities included cleaning, laundry, shopping and some cooking at the 10-bedroom Anmer Hall where William, 34, and Kate, 35, spend two-thirds of their time.

However, the royal couple plans to relocate to London’s Kensington Palace this autumn in order to fulfil their full-time royal commitments once Prince William quits his air ambulance job.

Prior to working with the young royals, Rice served Norway’s Prince Haakon and his wife Mette-Marit in Oslo.

Apparently in 2015, Kate managed to lure Rice away from her previous employer where she had spent five years.

Before that, Rice was a Buckingham Palace maid and was said to have been well liked by the Queen.

But now that she’s put in her notice, sources say it’s been a low blow to William and Kate as they’ve been hiring more staff in preparation for their move to London and step up in duties.

Have you ever had someone quit on you unexpectedly?
