They’re known as quite the romantic couple, but it turns out the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have decided to spend Valentine’s Day apart this year.
Last year the couple left their young children at home and enjoyed a quiet dinner at their local pub where they were seen laughing and joking together throughout their meal.
This year though, they have decided to focus on others, committing to their charity work and royal duties instead.
Kate will be visiting the RAF cadets in Cambridgeshire, something that is very dear to both her and her husband.

William has made no secret of his love for the airforce, having worked as a military and rescue pilot for many years.
He has openly talked about how sad he is to be leaving his flying job to commit to his royal duties, but it seems both he and Kate are committed to publicly showing their support to the RAF and greater military.
William is also expected to be doing charity work on the romantic day, but no doubt he’ll do something just a little bit special for Kate before they head off in the morning!
While Valentine’s Day seems to be all the rage nowadays, most baby boomers will admit that by the time you reach your 60s this kind of commercialised romance is the last thing on their minds.
We think Bette Midler says it best when she wrote, “Valentine’s Day is only 10 days away! At this age, if I plan to celebrate, I need to initiate foreplay, like, now”. Ha!

Still, here’s hoping William and Kate enjoy their day and that every day is filled with love as it should be.
