Airlines have fun with electronics travel ban

Travel bans have brought frustrations for travellers, but a few laughs too.

Rather than get upset over a controversial travel set in place by Donald Trump, airlines are using it for promoting their services, and for entertainment.

The US President started the ban on electronic devices on flights from Muslim-majority countries a week ago.

The UK follow suit, although not as many countries were included in the ban.

Royal Jordanian Airlines has tweeted rhymes denouncing the ban, with the comment: ‘Stay tuned for more fun… we have just begun #electronicban’.

Their list of 12 things to do on a 12-hour flight with no laptop or tablet is a classic example of the fun they are having.

Other airlines are taking it a step further.

Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airlines produced a video that clearly plays on Trump’s election campaign message, using the statement ‘Make flying great again’ to promote its high-end cabins with wifi-service for smartphone users.

As Emirates airlines says… “Who needs tablets and laptops anyway.”

Will these new travel bans cause any problems with your travel plans?
