Bindi Irwin loving tribute to her late father on his birthday

On that tragic September day in 2006, Australia lost one of its most recognisable icons, wildlife of the world lost one of its biggest champions, and a family lost its father and husband.

The loss of “The Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin is felt every year when we look back on his birthday, or the anniversary of his death, and wonder what the world would be like if he was still with us.

No one more than his widow and children, of course.  Bindi took to Instagram to pay tribute to her late father on what would have been his 55th birthday.

Bindi and Bob continue their father’s work and show that he will never be forgotten.  Who can remember without wiping the tears from their eyes, the tribute that Bindi paid her father during her part on Dancing With The Stars?

We can only imagine that if Steve was still with us that he would look at Bindi and say “Crikey, what a beauty.”
