Alec Baldwin attacked over his Trump act

The impression of US Republican Presidential Nominee Donald Trump by actor Alec Baldwin on the iconic US comedy show Saturday Night Live has been a hit with audiences all over the world. This past week Donald himself revealed what he felt about the impression on Twitter. Donald tweeted, “Watched Saturday Night Live hit job on me. Time to retire the boring and unfunny show. Alec Baldwin portrayal stinks. Media rigging election!”

Now Stephen Baldwin, Alec’s brother, has made his feelings against the impression as well. An avid supporter of Trump, when asked at the Las Vegas debate about the impression, Stephen said, “He’s got the voice down very well. I think it’s getting a little too nasty right now”. Then Stephen added, “I don’t want to be a party pooper here, but I don’t think it’s very funny.”

When reporters asked Stephen why he was supporting Trump, he said, “I’ve said this about Donald Trump, in my two experiences with him doing Celebrity Apprentice, I found him to be actually behind-the-scenes a pretty regular Joe guy. Down to earth, a father, a husband and a businessman”. He then added “Another motivation for me is I believe that he would enact and support bringing the country back to that moral code. That is that religious freedom for Christians to be able to have prayer back in school if they so choose.

“I wholeheartedly believe Mr Trump is the type of individual that will stand for those things. He is a Christian. That is something very personal to him, and I respect that”.

When asked about some of the outlandish things said by Trump from time to time Stephen made his opinion clear as well, “Don’t get me wrong, he still says things in a way that are very brash and harsh and sometimes controversial, other times he just says some things the wrong way. I don’t think there’s a lot of people that would debate that”.
